BERA RAISES MORE THAN $550,000 IN THIRD QUARTER
Bera for Congress previews its third quarter financial numbers, raising more than $550,000 this quarter, and over $2.13 million to date
Elk Grove, CA -- Bera for Congress released a preview of third quarter financial reports today, announcing over $2.13 million raised to date. Dr. Ami Bera raised over $550,000 since the last quarterly FEC report.
"Our campaign continues to gain momentum thanks to our grassroots support,” said Bera’s campaign manager, Lucinda Guinn. “Over 3,300 individuals have given to our campaign, while our opponent has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from corporate special interests and done their bidding in Congress. Northern Californians are tired of politics as usual, Ami Bera will fight for the kind of change we need.”
Some highlights include:
- Over 3,329 individuals have donated to the campaign since its start.
- 90% of this quarter’s contributors are from California.
- This quarter, 1,425 donations came from the Sacramento region, signifying that Bera’s grassroots donor base is growing stronger.
The FEC report for the third financial quarter, which runs July 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010, will be filed in the coming days. The deadline to file is October 15, 2010.
